Forsythe lands position on AHC nursing board

California-based nurse and clinical quality specialist Sarah Forsythe, of Culver City-based USC Keck Medical Center, has earned a spot on the American Health Council (AHC) nursing board, the organization recently announced from New York.

Forsythe earned a master’s degree in biostatistics following an undergraduate degree at University of California, Los Angeles. With 24 years of experience, she will offer her expertise in the areas of analytical skills, complex data analysis, nursing and statistics.

On a daily basis, Forsythe handles the collection and interpretation of system-wide information for Keck Medical Center, collating complex data from patient charts and streamlining it to establish best decisions for care. The statistical results are tabulated and presented on a quarterly basis to help the USC health care center determine favorable patient treatments and results.

Keck Medicine focuses on diagnosis, treatment and prevention of chronic diseases. It offers an array of specialty services ranging from cancer, oncology, radiology and pathology to women’s health, sleep, psychiatry and more.

Forsythe, who is also in the process of obtaining Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) certification, previously received UCLA’s Academic Nursing Award and credits her success to her strong work ethic.

With specific expertise in sepsis and transplants, the nurse also maintains active ties to her community, involving herself with the local Community Emergency Response Team (C.E.R.T.) and walks for cystic fibrosis.
