MSAA establishes online support community for MS patients

Leaders with the Multiple Sclerosis Association of America (MSAA) recently announced that it has launched a new online support community for people with multiple sclerosis (MS).

The community, called My MSAA Community, is an online forum. It is designed to give people with MS, their family members and care partners a better way to connect with people who are facing the same challenges. Through this community, they can gain relevant, valuable support and information about their challenges.

“Support and information are two of the largest factors in people managing their own health,” HealthUnlocked Chief Medical Officer Dr. Matt Evans said. “This new community, specifically for people with MS, will provide vital support, allowing people who are experiencing similar health issues to ask questions and receive information, and access valuable help from MSAA. This community has the potential to transform and dramatically improve the lives of many people with MS.”

The MSAA is a top resource for people living with MS. The organization seeks to help patients improve their lives with support and services specially designed to their needs. With the new community, MSAA hopes to encourage more solution-oriented discussions about the disease.

“At MSAA, we continue to explore new and innovative ways to help improve lives for people affected by MS, so we are thrilled to partner with HealthUnlocked on My MSAA Community,” Gina Murdoch, MSAA president and CEO, said. “Having a place to share, connect and get support can significantly improve one's quality of life. This online, peer-to-peer support platform offers people with MS an opportunity to communicate with others experiencing similar challenges and helps people know they are not alone in this journey.”
