CVS Pharmacy joins Partner in Healthy Living initiative

CVS Pharmacy, a retail company under CVS Health, recently announced that it is the exclusive drugstore involved in the latest initiative from the American Diabetes Association (ADA), Partner in Healthy Living.

The ADA as well as CVS Pharmacy intend to use the campaign to heighten awareness and donations to prevent and treat diabetes.

"This collaboration with CVS Pharmacy will help us reach millions of Americans with valuable information to improve their health and management of their diabetes," Jonathan Webb, ADA vice president of corporate alliances, said. "We appreciate CVS Pharmacy's engagement and collaboration, both in stores and online, so that we can continue to reach the public in meaningful ways to prevent diabetes and to improve the lives of millions with diabetes."

The ADA is the top voluntary health organization in the U.S. It is dedicated to furthering the prevention, research, treatment and care of diabetes throughout the U.S.

"We are committed to making it easier for our customers living with diabetes to find the right products and expertise to help them manage their disease," Judy Sansone, chief merchant for CVS Health, said. "CVS Pharmacy is a leading health destination with expert pharmacists and an easy-to-navigate diabetes management section, featuring a wide assortment of products -- from glucose monitors and testing strips to sugar-free snacks."
