Medivizor to help LLS Community network supply health infomation to blood cancer patients

LLS Community, a free online network started by The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) that offers support and education to blood cancer patients and their caregivers, said in a release it will partner Medivizor, an Israeli technology startup, to provide cutting-edge health information to the network.

Medivisor will sift through the reams of medical content and distill the complex information into easy to read language for LLS Community. The information will include treatment options, clinical trials and other helpful information on leukemias and lymphomas, the release said.

"We are honored to be working closely with a pioneering organization such as The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society," Medivizor Co-Founder and CEO Tal Givoly said in the release. "It is critical for us to work together in order to accelerate the sharing of scientific discoveries by translating complex information so we can help improve the lives of patients. Working with LLS, Medivizor can help bring vital knowledge to the people who matter most – patients, caregivers, and their medical teams."

LLS Community was launched by LLS in 2016 and has already grown to nearly 5,000 users. It is led by LLS Executive Research Director Larry Saltzman, who was diagnosed in 2010 with chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) and small cell lymphocytic lymphoma (SLL).

"When I was first diagnosed, I felt alone in the world. Being part of LLS Community has shown me that I'm not alone and there's a group of people going through the same experience," Saltzman in the release. "By sharing my experience and learning from others, I found strength and comfort during this otherwise isolating time."
