Coalition comes together to protect patient care

Regardless of whether the Affordable Care Act remains, is revised or gets repealed, patient care must be a priority, members of the Coalition to Protect America’s Health Care said in hundreds of thousands of letters and emails sent to Congress recently.

The coalition, founded almost two decades ago as a major communications initiative of hospital associations, hospitals and business, is also taking to social media to gets its message across: hospitals must be protected from more funding cuts and financial burdens.

The coalition is funded through membership contributions. It currently has an online community of approximately 1.3 million people.
