LCRF Annual Strolling Supper surpasses fundraising record

Coming from professional, social and philanthropic circles, patrons of the Lung Cancer Research Foundation’s (LCRF) 14th Annual Strolling Supper recently joined LCRF members in New York City to raise a record-breaking total of nearly $1.5 million.

Held at historic Gotham Hall on Broadway, the gala featured co-anchor Bill Ritter of Eyewitness News at 6 & 11 and drew close to 500 participants. Live music and a silent auction with upscale prize packages enhanced the experience, and LCRF spokespersons commended the high level of attendance.

"The Strolling Supper is a chance for lung cancer survivors and supporters to come together, celebrate, raise awareness and support our grant program," Mary Ann Tighe, vice chair of the LCRF board of directors, said. "We are grateful and honored that the Strolling Supper continues to be successful year after year."

The event’s many research grant sponsors include Richard Blum; Raymond Chalmé and Daniel Blanco, Broad Street Development; The Durst Organization; The Edward John & Patricia Rosenwald Foundation; and Greenlight Capital Inc.

LCRF applies contributions toward pioneering research focused on the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and cure of lung cancer.
