PatientPoint launches mobile app for better patient experience

PatientPoint recently launched a new mobile app that will enable physicians to improve how they practice medicine, in addition to offering patients more information to benefit their overall experience.

With the PatientPoint 360° app, physicians will gain timely access to medical news, and patients will have better access to valuable information about their health conditions and new medical tools.

The ultimate goal of the app is to unite physicians in a way that will improve patient-physician relationships. By pooling research news, patient education resources and anatomical tools in a single app, physicians can easily access all of this data throughout their workday.

"PatientPoint 360° allows physicians to provide valuable tools to help patients understand their condition in a way that is both convenient and unobtrusive," Chris Martini, chief provider officer for PatientPoint, said. "And we know how important patient education is in ensuring positive outcomes."

The app combines two other in-market PatientPoint products: Access and Interact. PatientPoint Access provides physicians with medical news, real-time research summaries and business trends. PatientPoint Interact provides 3-D anatomicals and patient education for exam rooms.

"It will come as no surprise to anyone the degree to which we live in a mobile world," Martini said. "PatientPoint 360° leverages that mobile world in service to healthy outcomes and improved relationships."
