Astellas broadens medical and development communications staff

Astellas has expanded its Medical & Development (M&D) team by including Stefanie Prodouz and Agatha Newman as associate directors for communications.

Prodouz’s responsibilities will include external communications for the M&D organizations and its worldwide leadership, such as executive visibility efforts and media relations. Prodouz earned her communications degree from Purdue University, where she minored in business and organizational leadership.

Newman’s position will involve internal communications for M&D’s worldwide leadership. She will handle research-focused content strategy and leading scientific developments. Previously, she worked in global public affairs and corporate communications at AbbVie. Newman went to Saint Louis University for her communication and marketing degree, graduating magna cum laude.

“As we broaden Astellas’ communication efforts around the world, Stefanie and Agatha bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to our growing team,” Jeff Winton, senior vice president, said. “Both will help expand Astellas’ vision to be on the forefront of healthcare innovation for patients.”
