NAMI to host webinar for psychosis program businesses

The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) recently announced that it will be hosting a webinar at 3 p.m. Aug. 4 for funding and operating a start-up of First Episode Psychosis (FEP) programs.

The programs are designed to improve youth and young adult quality of life. These programs reach across the U.S. because of how much they improve people’s lives. FEP programs offer coordinated specialty care for young adults as well as youths when they experience early psychosis. With the programs, such patients can recover their health and achieve their goals.

Recently, Congress acknowledged the benefits of FEP programs and approved financing with the Mental Health Block Grant; the U.S. is growing more aware of the importance of mental health across the nation.

The webinar will explore the financial side of FEP programs. It will also discuss the coordinated selection of specialty care that young adults, young people and their families can receive when they have private insurance as well as Medicaid programs.

The webinar will also discuss the ways that FEP programs have found start-up finances. These funds are crucial to developing, implementing and improving these programs and their novel approaches for financing while expanding FEP programs in the U.S.
