Palmer displeased with Democrats refusal to repeal Obamacare

Rep. Gary Palmer (R-AL) is one of many lawmakers who recently voted to override President Obama's veto of the Restoring Americans’ Healthcare Freedom Reconciliation Act of 2015 (HR 3762).

Palmer was displeased when his Democratic counterparts did not do the same.

“This is another missed opportunity to protect life and provide the American people common sense choices in their health care decisions,” he said. “The failure to repeal this burdensome and unaffordable act lies solely at the feet of my Democratic colleagues and the president. The American people, for now, will continue to pay more for health care and receive fewer benefits, but the fight to repeal this law does not end today.”

HR 3762 abolishes many parts of the Affordable Care Act, which is more commonly known as Obamacare. The bill also takes away any government funding for Planned Parenthood (PP) and ends Medicaid reimbursements to PP. If passed, it would put an end to individual and employer mandates, as well as to abolish any taxes put in place by Obamacare.

Other things it would end include Medicaid expansion, premium tax credits and cost-sharing subsidies.
