American Diabetes Association CEO thanks outgoing board members

American Diabetes Association (ADA) CEO Kevin Hagan recently expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the members of the organization's outgoing 2015 board of directors.

"I have been so impressed by the caliber of the 2015 board and extend warm thanks to the five extraordinary leaders whose terms ended," Hagan said. "The 2015 board embodied the high academic and leadership standards that are so central to the association's core. It was a pleasure to work closely with and learn from such a strong team as we celebrated the association's 75th anniversary. I'm truly thankful for the role all members fulfilled in the fight against diabetes."

Members of the 2015 board included chair Janel Wright, chief of adjudications for the Alaska Department of Labor, Workers' Compensation Division; Dr. David Marrero, director of Diabetes Translational Research Center, Indiana University School of Medicine; Dr. Samuel Dagogo-Jack, director of Clinical Research Center at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center; Richard Farber, managing partner at McKendree Capital; and board member Brian Bertha, chief operating officer for Crescendo Bioscience in San Francisco.
